CONTEXT

The area stand on south west coastal zone of Bangladesh has long been left neglected and very remote of the area need not to be mentioned. The targeted women, girls and children of this area are vulnerable. They are living in ultra poor condition. They are suffering violence of early marriage, dowry and trafficking they are not able to establish their rights and don’t know how they will establish their rights. Women empowerment and rights issues in at risk in the locality.

Welfare Association for Development Alternative (WADA)  established in 10 September 2011 as a non-profit, non-political, non-government organization and registered from the Department of Social Services under the Government of Bangladesh with a view to work those unfortunate people especially women, girls, children, youths and transgender through different development approaches such as establishing women and child rights, reducing social injustice, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), prevention of child early and forced marriage, dowry and trafficking. Economic, social and political empowerment of women. Child education, health, food security & nutrition, water and sanitation, HIV/AIDS, social awareness and skill development training. The  targeted women. Girls and children of our working areas has been facing many problems. WADA wants to stand with those unfortunate people of rural and urban areas, who are struglling in their life. WADA has already some development programs in south coastal zone of Bangladesh but approaches are very little against the actual needs.
