The Right to be a Girl
Bangladesh has the third highest prevalence of child marriage in the world. There are 62% of girls have been married before the age of 18. Whereas 28.5% of girls become married before the age of 15 (UNICEF2017).
Through this intervention we have been implementing several projects. Especially, one of the project named “Stop Child Marriage Protect Girls Life” under the THE RIGHT TO BE A GIRL programme funded by the Spanish donor organization Mundo Cooperante.
The aim of this programme is to end child marriage and promote girls education in locally, nationally and contribute to global effort. We have establish Facebook group “Child Marriage Prevention Network in Bangladesh” to involve all level people for taking action against child marriage.
